It is not as important to make the bone absolutely straight so the result of non-operative treatment is often acceptable. The arm is placed in a cast extending from the palm of the hand to above the elbow. This is called a long arm cast. WebbSimple: No associated fracture (50%). Complex: Associated fractures (50%) - radial head and coronoid. Epidemiology Predominantly 10-20 years of age, more likely related to mechanism, e.g. ski jumping, skateboarding, complex tackles in sport. Presentation Likely mechanism, obvious deformity and pain.
