Chain growth probability
Chain-growth polymerization (AE) or chain-growth polymerisation (BE) is a polymerization technique where unsaturated monomer molecules add onto the active site on a growing polymer chain one at a time. There are a limited number of these active sites at any moment during the polymerization which gives this method its key characteristics. Chain-growth polymerization involves 3 types of reactions : WebJun 8, 2024 · The plot for the product distribution presents a parallel shift from a C n+1 hydrocarbon, while the chain growth probability α in Figure 7 presents no significant difference. This essentially indicates that the surface concentration of C n intermediate was remarkably increased and served as a chain initiator in the FTS reaction. These results ...

WebThe chain growth probability of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) was investigated on the basis of data from a set of experiments over an industrial coprecipitated Fe−Cu−K catalyst developed by the Institute of Coal Chemistry (China). The experimental results show that the ASF chain growth probability (α) depends on operation conditions, temperature (T) … WebThe thermodynamic degree of chain-growth probability control emphasizes the critical role of the H and free-site coverage and shows that at high temperature, chain depolymerization contributes to the decreased chain-growth probability. That is to say, during the FT reaction chain growth is much faster than chain depolymerization, which ensures ...
